Amy Lesiow

Somehow I was lucky enough to meet Vic through a friend who was going out with one of his mates when we were still back in high school. It was on our school oval and he was an inhumanly tall (to me anyway!) surfie bean pole with epic blonde curly hair and a genuine kind of smile. Eventually we started going out after a multitude of angsty MSN conversations, text messages and, embarrassingly enough, poetry.

In 2005, Vic officially moved into my bedroom at Mum and Dad's which boasted a lavish 30 cm TV, single bed, a few gaming consoles and of course two respectable PCs. We lived there quite happily for three years despite the inability of the bed to accommodate anything below Vic's knees. We've lived in a few different places since, but it never really seems to matter where we keep our stuff - we've always been happy.

Vic is a man of many talents, but he's never arrogant or boastful. He is an avid and knowledgeable car enthusiast, skilled all-round IT guy, capable handyman, interior decorator and, as many of you have witnessed, a Master Chef (luckily enough for me - I seem to be able to burn water).

Above all, he is an unwaveringly supportive, selfless and faultlessly caring partner. I couldn't have dreamt up a better one and I can't think of a more awesome way to spend the rest of my life than with my best mate. Keep up the good work, Victimus Prime.

I remember seeing Amy for the first time at high school and thinking she was very intimidating. At first I didn't have the courage to talk to her, even though I seemed to tower over her. I don't know what it was; she was very reserved and soft-spoken. Eventually I said hello to her, to which she revealed a quirky little smile, and I knew from then we had some sort of connection. Awkward as we both were, we started talking using every method available other than actually talking in person. It wasn't too long before we started going out though. I swear we saw every movie out in the cinemas at least 3 times over.

Since we met all those years ago, we've embarked on many journeys and challenges together. For example, in 2007 we both made the uncomfortable discovery that, although hermit crabs may seem like cool pets, they really start to creep you out after a while.

Amy is my best friend. She's adorable, very smart, fun, easy going and really really hot. She is a very hard worker and her patience and persistence is of the most inhumanely high level. I don't know how she does what she does. I'm so incredibly proud of her achievements – even though she still manages to mess up instructions on an instant rice packet, but let's not go there...

Our wedding day will mark a 10 year milestone of the best times of my life. I can't wait until the beginning of us spending the rest of our lives together.

Thank you

Amy and Vic would like to say
Thanks for sharing our special day
To friends and family for sharing our love
And to the best vendors that we can speak of
Without you all we'd have had a rough start
So thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

We also can't thank our parents enough for their boundless support both leading up to the day and long before it. Thank you to George for so generously footing the bills, to Stan for ensuring a steady flow of alcohol, to Kate for her unrivalled organisational skills and loving advice and of course to Barbara for our army of succulents and the incredible decorations.
